Welcome to Belvedere School of Motoring, an independent family run driving school serving the local community for over 40 years working with drivers aged between 17 (16 if in receipt of higher rate disability living allowance) to well over 70! See our testimonials.
Our oldest driver was 90! She just wanted an assessment to see if her driving was still ok after a break, and it was, and she took a few more lessons to boost her confidence.
Most new drivers choose manual driving lessons this is the usual route when learning to drive.
For some automatic driving lessons is the way to go (no gears to worry about).
Providing quality tuition that keeps pace with modern teaching methods, working together with you taking into account your needs and preferences, teaching you the way you learn best shortens the learning curve and builds trust, confidence and improves decision making, helping you become a safer more confident driver before after passing the driving test.
Theory Test Pro is an online resource to help you improve your learning of the rules of the road, and other motoring matters including the Highway Code to enable you to pass the Theory and Hazard Perception Test first time. This service is free to our customers.
The cars we use are a manual Nissan Micra and an automatic Nissan Micra. Both cars are very easy to drive because they have a fully adjustable driver’s seat to give you a comfortable and relaxed driving position, combined with good vision all round, good pedal position, light steering and good brakes.
Both cars are fitted with dual controls for your safety.
Before you can drive the car you must have a valid driving licence and be able to read a new-style number plate at 20metres (20.5 metres for the old style number plate).
On your first driving lesson you will be able to drive the car, in a safe place that fits your level of experience. (It is not a theory lesson on how to drive a car).
